Tony Lewis, a joint inventor of the D / L or Duckworth-Lewis method, died Wednesday night (April 7). The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has mourned the death of the mathematician who was interred at the age of six.

Tony Lewis invented the Duckworth-Lewis method with fellow mathematician Frank Duckworth for mathematical calculations in rain-fed matches in limited-overs cricket. With their inventions, the goal is to find out who might be the target of those batting after rain-stricken cricket matches.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) officially implemented the D / L system, the highest regulatory body of cricket in the country. However, after 5 years, it was renamed to the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern or DLS method.
Before the rainy season, weird rules were introduced before 9am. That rule would sometimes lead to strange accounts. His biggest example is the semifinal match between England and South Africa at the 12th World Cup. Prior to the rain, Proteas needed 22 runs off 9 balls. After the rain stopped, the calculation came to 8 for 5! South Africa burns the forehead.  
The match inspired Duckworth-Lewis inventor Frank Duckworth to try out a new method. "I remember (the commentator) telling Christopher Martin-Jenkins on the radio that somebody would sit somewhere and find something better," he said. Then it seemed to me that this mathematical problem needed to be solved.
